The Rolfing 10 Series

Ida Rolf created the 10 series of Rolfing as an introduction to Structural Integration. Each of the 10 sessions works on a different postural principle. The sessions are typically best done in order, but exceptions can be made for good clinical reasons. In a nutshell, exterior organization, foundation issues in feet and pelvis, interior organization are addressed and then all is tied together. As the sessions progress, a sense of synergy between the sessions becomes more and more apparent to the Rolf client. Rolfing changes are apparent while on the Rolf table, other changes become apparent upon rising, other changes are noticed in between Rolfing sessions, and clients typically report ongoing changes for year after Rolf session number 10.

After the 10 series has finished and a period of assimilation is completed, further Rolfing will deepen the sense of structural integration.

Do I have to commit to all 10 sessions?
You only have to come to the first session. It will be apparent if more Rolfing is appropriate and meaningful for you. You can do as many or as few of the 10 sessions as you wish.
